Program

Overview

Four Stars Program operates from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, year-round. Our program caters to working parents who need full time, part time child care for children ages six weeks to 5 years old and who need before and after school care for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Day Care is licensed through the Louisiana Department of Education and is a STAR Rated 4, Title III Honor Roll Facility.

Classrooms

Four Stars is comprised of 10 classrooms:

• Infants: 6 weeks to 12 months (2 teachers to 7 infants)
• Walkers: 12 months to 18 months (1 teacher to 5 children)
• Toddlers: 18 months to 2 (I teacher to 6 children)
• Toddlers: 2 to 2 ½ (I teacher to 6 children)
• Toddlers: 2 ½ years to 3 years (I teacher to 6 children)
• Pre-k : 3 years to 4 years (I teacher to 10 children)
• Pre-k: 3 years to 4 years (I teacher to 10 children)
• Pre-k: 4 years old (I teacher to 10 children)
• Pre-K: 4 years old (2 teacher to 15 children)
• Before and After Care Kindergarten through 5th grade*

*St. Charles Parish School buses pick up and drop off at the center for Allemands Elementary and RJ Vial School.

Learning

The lead teacher for each classroom creates a weekly lesson plan tailored to the unique and individual needs of each child in the classroom. Copies of the lesson plans are sent home to the parents. We use Creative Curriculum for Pre-k and Frog Street for infants/toddlers which both are aligned with the Louisiana Department of Education guidelines.
